The incredible effort to rescue a young elephant from a 25-foot-deep well is seen in this video. In Jharkhand, India’s most eastern state, the calf accidently fell into the waterhole, but humans were able to save it. They used a JCB digger to carve a ramp out of the well’s ridge as they pumped tons of water for two hours to float the elephant to the top. The beast ultimately clambered out onto the land before meandering off to rejoin its herd, to the noisy whooping of the bewildered onlookers. The big gray thing was rolling around in the shallow…

Jason Talbott, a 42-year-old American from Kansas, managed to get a photo of the snake. The snake was found in the wild by his buddies, who later captured it. Not as large or powerful as lions and jaguars, hyenas are animals that often hunt or rob in groups if they cannot find a corpse. That makes their chances of success much higher. Lonely hyenas do not easily succeed in foraging. So, the lone hyena in this story surprised many people by tearing apart a rather large prey, the wildebeest. The story takes place in Kenya, captured by Norwegian wildlife photographer while visiting Maasai Mara National Park. The lone hyena follows the wildebeest, pursuing its prey until the opportunity arises. It attacks its hind legs and waits for its prey…

A blonde seal was strangled by a fishing net on the Norfolk coast, and the heartbreaking event was caught on camera. Geoff Smith, a 54-year-old IT consultant, took the picture that demonstrates the extent of plastic contamination. The seal could be seen with a large blue net around its neck and it appeared to be unable to remove on its own. Worried Geoff phoned the Friends of Horsey Seals, a seal rescue organization to let them know about the seal, but the animal managed to elude the rescuers trying to catch him and swam back out to sea. According to…

A species of palm tree is perhaps the only mobile tree on this planet. Image source: Reddit Socratea Exorrhiza, a tree that grows in a remote part of Ecuador can, reportedly, walk – yupp, like Ents do in The Lord of the Rings. OK, these leafy giants might not be able to wage war on the forces of Isengard, but they definitely have a thing or two in common with their fictitious counterparts, apart from their size. Their complicated system of roots is thought to serve as legs, helping the tree constantly move towards sunlight as the seasons change. Apparently, these walking…

Is it possible that there was once a black pyramid in Egypt that has been lost to history? That’s correct, a fourth BLACK PYRAMID was aligned with the three stone masses that are presently on the Giza plateau, according to Frederic Louis Norden, an 18th-century Danish naval commander, geographer, and explorer. The Giza Plateau, located west of Cairo, is renowned for housing Egypt’s four most recognizable monuments: the Great Sphinx, three pyramids, and the only ancient global wonder that has survived to our day, the Sphinx. Any self-respecting tourist or global traveler should have this book. New tombs and magnificent…

Mike “Madman” Marcum attempted to construct a time machine on the porch of his house in Stanberry, Missouri, in early 1995. He started working on a gadget known as the Jacobs Ladder. It reduces air resistance between two poles by using a modified Compact Disc laser. A continuous arc will result as a result of this. When he turned on the gadget, he saw something odd. There was a heat mark, similar to what you’d see on hot pavement, except it was in the form of a vortex and was round. So he decided to test the effect by throwing…

There have been various reports that the United States Navy is planning a separate Space Fleet. If official accounts are to be believed, both NASA and the US Navy now have a fully operational Space Fleet. Their claims are backed up by well-known figures including Daniel K. Inouye, who alleged that there is a hidden government working in the shadows of its own Air Force, Navy, and systems for raising money, and that it is free to act as it pleases. Many conspiracy theorists and ufologists believe that governments all over the world have hidden and sophisticated technologies, or alien…

It’s a sheep! It’s a cow! No, it’s Costasiella kuroshimae (or ‘Leaf Sheep’ for short). This adorable little sea slug, whose beady eyes and cute feelers make it look like a cartoon sea sheep, feeds on algae – just like the real thing! What’s fascinating about the tiny cute animal which can grow up to 5mm in length and can be found near Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines, is that they are one of the only sea creatures in the world that can perform photosynthesis (the others all belong to the sacoglossa sea slug clade). When these weird animals eat algae, they suck out the…
