Cardi B Reveals Plans to Release Her Third Album Within a Year
Cardi B is already looking ahead to her next chapter. During a Spaces chat on X (formerly Twitter), the Grammy-winning rapper revealed that she already has plans for her third studio album — and it could arrive much sooner than fans expected.

The Bronx native shared that instead of releasing a deluxe or remix edition of Am I the Drama?, her chart-topping second LP, she’s focused on delivering a completely new project. “After the Little Miss Drama Tour, I want a new era. New style. New everything.” Cardi said. “I don’t want to waste time doing a deluxe or remix album. Or use the artists I could use for a deluxe album. I want new everything.” She continued, “I won’t talk too much. But that’s how fast I’m moving. I am very grateful to you for holding me down.”

The announcement comes just weeks after Am I the Drama? debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, earning 200,000 equivalent album units in its first week — the biggest opening for a female R&B/hip-hop artist in 2025. The album, which includes hits like “WAP” and “Enough (Miami),” has since been certified 2x Platinum.

Am I the Drama? arrived over seven years after her breakout Invasion of Privacy. That debut shattered streaming records and produced era-defining hits like “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It.”
Now, the Cardi is keeping momentum on her side. The rapper also revealed that she plans to release another music video from Am I the Drama? after she gives birth to her child. Looking ahead, 2026 will mark her official return to touring. In February, she will kick off the Little Miss Drama Tour, which will run through April 17 across North America.
