Anne Hathaway surprised her Instagram followers on Sunday by posting a photo of herself scantily clad at the beach.
The actress – who is expecting her first child with husband Adam Shulman – admitted that it was a new thing for her as she shared a New Year’s message beside the image of her in a red bikini.
‘Happy 2016 to my beautiful Instafriends!’ the 33-year-old wrote,
‘So, posting a bikini pic is a little out of character for me, but just now while I was at the beach I noticed I was being photographed.

So no doubt she delighted her 1.8 million followers with the candid photo.
Before Christmas Anne showcased her growing bump while holiday shopping at the swimwear and lingerie boutique Eres in Beverly Hills – perhaps where she purchased the flattering swimwear.

‘Anne is feeling really healthy. She is working out and trying to stay in shape during this pregnancy,’ a source told E! News last month.
‘She is at a healthy pregnancy weight and not stressing out about the weight gain.’
It will be the first child for Hathaway and her husband of three years, who’s ‘very loving and helps if she needs anything.’

Anne will next reprise her role as Mirana of Marmoreal aka the White Queen in the psychedelic sequel Alice Through the Looking Glass.
Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Sheen, Stephen Fry, Toby Jones, and Alan Rickman also appear in the film – hitting US/UK theaters on May 27.
Anne and Adam married in 2012 in Big Sur, California.
The 34-year-old is an actor and jewelry designer.
