Scarlett Johansson has attacked James Franco for wearing a Time’s Up anti-sex pest pin after claims of harassment against the actor.
The Hollywood star spoke out at a Women’s march in Los Angeles attended by Adele , Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lawrence and Eva Longoria.
She said: “How could a person publicly stand by an organisation that provides support for victims of sexual assault while privately preying on people who have no power? I want my pin back, by the way.”
Reports in America claim she was referring directly to Franco , who wore the campaign pin when he won the Best Actor award at the Golden Globes.
Five women, including actress Violet Paley and filmmaker Sarah Tither-Kaplan, have accused the 39-year-old of inappropriate behaviour or sexual misconduct.
He denies the claims and has said: “The things that I heard are not accurate.
“But I support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn’t have a voice for so long.”
Adele, 29, posted after Saturday’s march: “The most influential people in my life have always been women. I am so grateful to be a woman, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I hope I’m not only defined by my gender, though.”
Time’s Up protestors also gathered at Downing Street where Dr Helen Pankhurst, great-granddaughter of suffragette Emmeline, gave a speech.
