The English Football Federation is investigating an altercation between a member of the Arsenal coaching staff and Aston Villa during a match in the 24th round of the Premier League on February 18.
According to the Daily Mail, during second-half injury time, a scuffle broke out between Arsenal analyst Miguel Molina and Aston Villa assistant coach Victor Manas.
Manas – the “right hand” of coach Unai Emery – was annoyed by Molina’s celebration after Jorginho’s 3-2 goal. After moments of tension, these two meet to reconcile.
Coach Arteta and his team broke down after the third goal.
Sharing about this incident, coach Mikel Arteta said: “I have not spoken to Molina. I will review and take action if necessary.”
Meanwhile, coach Unai Emery said: “I don’t see it but will ask my assistant about the incident.”
Arsenal faced many difficulties against Aston Villa but still proved the bravery of the championship candidate with a 4-2 victory right at Villa Park. Two goals in injury time in the second half helped “Gunners” reclaim the top of the Premier League from Man City.
The race for the Premier League title is intense. Arsenal is holding the advantage with 2 points more than Man City with the same match yet to be played.
In the next turn, Arteta’s teachers and students will face Leicester City, while Man City must also march to Bournemouth’s field.
