Since joining Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund, Erling Haaland has scored 32 goals, and his agency is still debating the worth of his future.
Erling Haaland will be worth one billion euros in the future, according to his agent.
Haaland signed for Manchester City for £51m in the summer from Borussia Dortmund and has scored 32 goals in 31 games so far this season. Under contract until 2027, Haaland’s camp have openly discussed the idea of leaving City to play in different leagues in the future.
His agent, Rafaela Pimenta, recently refused to deny that Haaland had a release clause in his City contract, before suggesting his overall value to a club would be worth one billion euros in the future. Now, Pimenta has suggested Haaland’s transfer value could be one billion.
“I’m sure he’s worth a billion euros, I’m serious, I’m sure this is the value of the player,” Pimenta told Telefoot.
Explaining what sets Haaland apart from other players, Pimenta pointed to the striker’s down-to-earth nature.
She continued: “It’s the future. His age, his quality, his room for improvement… The future is the unknown. He’s so simple, not impressed with the ‘bling bling’. He eats lasagna before matches… It’s his magic formula. He doesn’t see himself as important. It’s the future.”
Pimenta recently discussed the possible existence of a release clause in his City contract, saying: “The mystery is always interesting, It’s always sexier, isn’t it?
“I have done all the contracts for this agency in the last 25 years. Everybody. There wasn’t a single time that a player said, ‘I want to go’ and couldn’t do it. My hope is that he is always happy wherever he is. And today he is very happy at City. Tomorrow, we’ll have to think about it.
“It is not positive for a footballer to play one season thinking about the next. It’s like you start thinking about your next woman the day you get married. Today, Haaland is ‘married’ but as a lawyer, I have to prepare for the possibility that if you need the key [to the door], you can have it.”
