Given that the Miami Heat are monitoring Zach LaVine’s position with the Chicago Bulls, he may soon sign with the Florida franchise.
Zach LaVine remains a person of interest around the NBA amid a tumultuous 2022-23 season with the Chicago Bulls. When they were expected to level up, the Bulls have been a big disappointment, and rumors have it that they could make a drastic decision soon if things don’t get better.
That’s why LaVine has been mentioned in many trade rumors, with recent reports placing him on the Los Angeles Lakers, even in an incredible swap for LeBron James. As unlikely as that is, those are the types of things being said about Zach around the association.
Moreover, the Lakers aren’t the only ones showing interest in the shooting guard, and besides the New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks, the Miami Heat could be ready to make a run at LaVine and see if they can go back to life with this player on the roster.
Zach LaVine Is Drawing Interest From Several Teams Around The League
Mike Scotto of HoopsHype talked with NBC Sports Chicago’s KC Johnson on the most recent edition of the HoopsHype podcast, where they talked about LaVine and what could happen with him in the future. It seems like a host of teams are interested in the talented player.
His name has come up in trade speculation, and I’ve reported that there are plenty of teams that, if he’s put on the market – and I preface that with the word “if” – he’s not yet. If he were to be put on the market, the Knicks, Lakers, Dallas, and Miami are certainly monitoring if he’ll become available or not. What’s interesting about that to me and other executives I’ve spoken to around the league is there would also be a bit of a question regarding, in their eyes, the health of his knee because if the Bulls just signed him and look to flip him that quickly, it almost raises your antenna a little bit.
This is an interesting option for many teams in the NBA. LaVine is a very talented player that could help a contender get over the hump and sign their name on the championship favorites list. The situation gets more interesting by the day, and only time will tell if the Heat will pull the trigger on this move, as long as the Bulls decide to part ways with LaVine.
