‘Fast & Furious’ Cast Then & Now: Vin Diesel
‘The Fast & The Furious’ changed the game when it was released on June 22, 2001. The movie became a massive blockbuster and spawned one of the most successful movie franchises of all time. After 8 movies, the ‘Fast’ franchise has earned over $6 billion at the box office. ‘F9’ is sure to add to that number. The first movie starred the core cast of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, and Michelle Rodriguez. Over the years, more ‘Fast’ family members have joined the crew.
Vin became a household name when the first movie came out. He leads the ‘Fast’ franchise as the one and only Dom Toretto. Paul Walker
In the “Fast” series, Paul Walker is best recognized for his role as Brian O’Connor. Vin Diesel and he launched the franchise in “The Fast and the Furious.” He appeared in six “Fast” movies, with “Furious 7” being his most recent. In November 2013, Paul tragically perished in an automobile accident. Just 43 years old, he was. He was still in the middle of filming “Furious 7” at the time. Tyrese Gibson began playing Roman Pearce in ‘2 Fast 2 Furious.’ He returned for ‘Fast Five’ and has appeared in every ‘Fast’ film since.
