Much has been made of Tiger Woods‘ captaincy following the conclusion of another Ryder Cup edition. Just as the decision of the PGA of America was criticized before the start of the Ryder Cup, the same happened after the prestigious competition.
Namely, Keegan Bradley did not really have the sympathy of the public, especially after the infamous adventure at the Ryder Cup, but there are also those who believe that the least blame lies with Bradley, considering that his players had to be much better.
It also produced reactions from important golf figures who reflected on Tiger Woods’ role and confirmation that Tiger Woods had refused to captain the team. However, some hope that he could lead this team in two years.
Phil Mickelson doesn’t think Tiger is a great solution, feeling that coaches from other sports could be the key to the success of the American team in two years.
Phil notes that Europe has a much more precise system and that they knew what was important to do in order to celebrate at the Ryder Cup.

The Europeans have a template that teaches and prepares their captains for these skills. U.S. has a new template every 2 years with little continuity.
If a coach K or Lou Holtz or someone similar took over, would it be built upon or would it be scrapped and start over again afterwards? If that’s the case, it would be a waste of time and effort and not worth doing to begin with’. -Phil wrote.
PGA of America: Tough job ahead
The leaders of the PGA of America will have a difficult decision to make and it is clear that they will have to consider the candidates they have available very differently next time. It is always known that the team undoubtedly has the quality needed to win in tournaments like this one, but on the other hand, it turned out that the key is not only in quality, but that there are many factors that determine the path to success.
The next captain will have to be not only a well-known face in the golf scene, but also a man who will know how to act as a psychologist — that is, how to motivate, encourage and make his team stay calm even in the most tense moments.
