Charlie Woods was back on the junior circuit this week at the famed Pinehurst Resort & Country Club in North Carolina.

Woods, a rising junior at Benjamin School and son of legendary golfer Tiger Woods, shot 71 (1-under) in the final round on July 2 at Pinehurst No. 8 to finish 1-over and enter the clubhouse tied for 12th place at the 47th North & South Junior Amateur Championship.

Woods shot 72 on the first two days of the tournament on Pinehurst’s course No. 2 and No. 8 to enter the final round 2-over par and six shots back of the lead in a tie for 15th.

He bogeyed his first three holes in Wednesday’s final round to slip off the lead pace and outside the Top 30. A multi-hour weather delay paused play midway through the third round.

Woods returned from the delay with a bogey but gathered momentum with birdies on three straight holes and five of the last eight overall to rise into the Top 12.

Pinehurst’s No. 2 has hosted five major championships, including four U.S. Open championships, most recently in 2024.

It is considered an “anchor site” for the United States Golf Association and will host four more U.S. Open tournaments through 2050.Charlie Woods hole-by-hole scorecardCharlie Woods looks to see where his shot landed during the 41st Nicklaus Junior Championship at the Tequesta Country Club on June 23, 2025 in Tequesta, Florida.
