No matter who or what species you are, you should pay attention when your mother is speaking.
As you can see in the movie, this fact is applicable to the animal realm as well. At that time, a pride of lions was gathering around a watering hole. While his mother tried to restrain him, one cub kept going towards the water. He might just want to play but no, crocodiles might be lurking there!
The young lion cub could be seen in the video sitting uncomfortably near to the water’s edge. When his mother noticed this, she instinctively moved to go get her cub despite knowing the possible ʀɪsᴋs of the water. The little lion wriggled free and tried to flee as mother tried to carry him away.
The naughty young lion cub kept going back to the water’s edge despite his mother’s strong warnings to stay away. Then the mother carried the cub in her jaw and brought him back to a small nearby waterhole. She looked so cute carrying him in that powerful mouth!
Lion cubs are tiny when they are first born. They are born with their eyes ᴄʟᴏsᴇd until they are two to three weeks old. They still need plenty of care and attention from mom because they won’t be able to see clearly for another week or so. Lionesses are kept quite busy making sure that their cubs are all safe because they typically have three cubs, but they can have as many as six.
For approximately six weeks, a lioness will keep her cubs hidden from other lions until they are old enough to accompany the pride. If they were any younger, they might not be able to keep up and get ʟᴏsᴛ.
Let’s See What Happens When This Lion Cub Doesn’t Listen To His Mom in the video below:
