Fans will have to wait another year to potentially see Adele walk the carpeted steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
With another Met Gala officially in the books, Adele has once again skipped the star-studded event—leaving many wondering where, exactly, the singer was.
While the Grammy winner has yet to speak out about her absence, it’s likely that she’s merely enjoying a well-earned break from her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace. Weekends with Adele was initially slated to end on March 25, but she
extended the residency with extra shows that will run from June 16 through November 4.

To some, it may come as a surprise that Adele has never actually been to a Met Gala before. Still, fans need not worry about the pop star missing out on a fashion opportunity. Met Gala or not, she has long been known for delivering glamorous looks whether she’s onstage or on the red carpet.
Throughout her residency, for example, she has worn custom haute couture gowns from Givenchy’s Matthew M. Williams and Schiaparelli’s Daniel Roseberry.
Adele’s stylist, Jamie Mizrahi, previously told Wall Street Journal that the singer will wear a new look for each weekend of the residency, and that the pieces will be archived after each run.
“One of Adele’s superpowers is the ability to give you déjà vu in the right way,” Mizrahi said. “Even when she does something new or modern, it feels like the same Adele you first fell in love with. That’s the look we’re going for.”
He teased that future other onstage looks have been commissioned from the likes of Versace, Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Paco Rabanne, Proenza Schouler, and Harris Reed.
