Lions and crocodiles are both apex predators and their interactions in the wild can be quite dramatic.
Lions are known to hunt a variety of prey, including zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles, while crocodiles often prey on fish, birds, and other animals that come to the water’s edge to drink. However, in some areas where water is scarce, crocodiles may also prey on larger mammals like antelope, and lions have been known to scavenge on carcasses near water sources.
In some cases, lions and crocodiles may even come into direct conflict over prey. Lions have been known to steal fish from crocodiles in rivers and lakes, while crocodiles have been observed snatching impala and other prey from the banks of rivers where lions hunt.
