Take a look around this artsy log cabin located in Martin City, Montana, United States. The cozy cabin can accommodate up to 3 guests with 2 bedrooms, and 1 bath. The cabin is just 10 minutes from the entrance to Glacier National Park. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and a small closet area. The loft, located above the kitchen, has a full-size mattress. The loft area is a kid’s zone for playing and sleeping. However, one or two adults could sleep on the full mattress, taking into account that the ceiling is fairly low. During the winter, enjoy the propane wood-burning stove with the flick of a switch in this one-of-a-kind vacation retreat. You’ll love the natural feel of the log cabin. It has real wood branches used throughout for curtain rods, brackets, and all the trim. There are also fun and unique vintage upscaling touches throughout and a surround shower with a custom-made Glacier National Park tile mural to recreate that Glacier Park experience right in your bathroom. The kitchen has all the essentials for basic cooking needs. The following are some of the places to visit during your vacation stay.
Glacier National Park. The destination place in Montana during the summer. Your visit is not complete without a visit to the park. It is highly recommended that you drive to Logan Pass, but also go on a hike to Avalanche Lake or do the Trail of Cedars with young children. In the winter, take your cross-country skis and enjoy the peace and quiet of the snowy wonderland. Glacier Park has a tranquil beauty in the winter that is very special to experience. Although you can’t go as far into the park as in the summer months, there are still lots of different sights to see.
Jewel Basin. Not as well known as Glacier National Park, but full of beautiful alpine hikes. You might go to Mt. Annaeus or hike to one of the many small lakes in the area. Holland Lake Falls. A bit of a drive, but the trail is relatively easy, though small ones will probably need to be carried toward the end. Seeing the waterfalls at the end is special and the view of Holland Lake is also wonderful.
Hungry Horse Reservoir. This is a great place to go canoeing, hiking, or huckleberry picking. There are numerous trails to hike. Wayfarers/Flathead Lake State Park. Great beach for families. You can grab a pizza or fried chicken and watermelon or cherries in Bigfork and enjoy the shallow water and beach. This spot is sure to be a favorite. If you have a Montana license plate, entry to the park is free. Swan Mountain Snowmobiling. This is a great local place to go if you are interested in going snowmobiling during the winter months. They are also stationed in Hungry Horse, just down the road from the cabin. You can check out their website and see which of their snowmobile packages works for you.
