The French soccer player was born to his father Wilfred and his mother Fayza Lamari in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. He was raised in Bondy, a commune around 6.8 miles from the center of Paris.
Wilfred is a Christain, who is originally from Cameroon. Fayza Lamari, on the other hand, is of Algerian Kabyle origin and is a Muslim. She is a former handball player. Living in a multireligious family, there have been questions about what religion the PSG star has chosen to follow. Mbappe answered by publicly accepting that he is a believer and practitioner of Christianity.
According to a conversation uploaded on YouTube, Mbappe, on a French show called “Au tableau!”, admitted to following Christianity. According to Cleats, the children asked Mbappe whether he is religious and what faith he practices. He replied, “Christian”.
Mbappe has a younger brother, Ethan. He is 15 years old and is a part of the PSG youth system since 2017. Mbappe’s adoptive brother, Jirès Kembo Ekoko, who represented France at the U21 level, is a retired professional soccer player.
