(PLO) – German midfielder Toni Kroos admitted he was ‘surprised and saddened’ by the decision of his former Real Madrid team-mate, Casemiro.
When Casemiro unexpectedly left Real Madrid to join Manchester United for a total of £70m in the final days of the summer transfer window, Toni Kroos hinted that the motivation was for the 30-year-old midfielder. Brazilians left the Bernabeu because of money.
(PLO) – Lionel Messi has explained why he dared not look directly at Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
Casemiro ended 9 years of great success at the Spanish capital team full of titles. Casemiro, Toni Kross and Luka Modric form the best three midfielders in Europe to help Real Madrid win 5 Champions League titles. This trio formed a formidable partnership and became the ‘kings’ of European football.

However, with Casemiro leaving La Liga to come to the Premier League to play for the Old Trafford team this season, Toni Kroos has “launched bizarre words aimed at Casemiro”. The German midfielder hinted that players move to the Premier League just for the money.
Not only directly facing two former teammates Raphael Varane and Casemiro leaving Real for MU, Toni Kroos has delved into Casemiro’s problem subtly with his previous statement: ‘The Premier League has not won a single European title in this year.
TV royalties have been significantly higher in the UK for years and it hasn’t resulted in British teams winning everything. Thank God, not all the players look only at the salary but also at the win.

Now, after the feelings have subsided, Kross continues to clarify his thoughts about Casemiro… ‘leaving his arms’. It should be added that this past summer, Real Madrid paid AS Monaco a large amount of money to buy Aurelien Tchouameni, a player who plays in the same position as Casemiro.
That may be part of the reason why 30-year-old Brazilian midfielder Casemiro decided to leave. However, Toni Kroos still feels surprised about the decision of his close former teammate.

Toni Kroos told Spanish TV channel Universo Valdano: ‘I am very surprised by the passing of Casemiro. It is true that the rumors started two days ago, but here there are always rumors and many times nothing happens.
But when Casemiro told me about that decision, I was very sad, because I started to remember all the years with him and the things we won together.”
Real Madrid’s signing of Tchouameni seems to have weakened Casemiro’s position in the team’s dressing room. The Spanish royal club have no shortage of options in midfield, with Eduardo Camavinga arriving last summer and Fede Valverde showing strong form this season.

Casemiro’s career began in Sao Paulo before he won 18 trophies with Real Madrid, including three La Liga titles and five Champions League titles. Notably, Casemiro spent the 2014-2015 season on loan at FC Porto, before returning to Real Madrid to replace Xabi Alonso.
