This super clean Harley Davidson cafe build was recently completed by DP Customs out of Arizona. The bike is based on a numbers matching 1985 Ironhead 1000cc, and both cosmetics and mechancials are extremely well developed. The great details go on and on, but we especially like the Grabber Blue color, the all metal rear fairing, and the aesthetics of the V-Twin. Find it here on Craigslist in Phoenix, Arizona for $9500.
The shape of the rear fairing and single round taillight are really pleasing, and apparently formed from a single piece of sheet metal. The shorty exhaust is a symmetrical design of DP’s own making, and the nubs on the tires show that this bike has hardly any road miles since completion.
The tank also has a clean shape, and handlebar height and low mirror are nailed. Gauges may clutter up the pretty pictures, but we’d add them as with none this bike is more show than go. We’d want to know how many revs that beautiful twin is spinning at all times.
The oil tank was custom fabricated and polished and the wrapped exhaust is a nice touch. The understated DP badge is refreshing compared to many other custom shops self-promotion. It works well here and the builders deserve the credit.
The performance of a modified 1000cc V-twin with minimal weight to move is not for rookies. Aesthetics are nicely dialed in here, and we would home that any handling mods were equally sorted to keep this one predictable under power.
