LeBron James is climbing the history books with almost every game he steps on the court for, making another dent in the history book tonight.
In a win over the Houston Rockets, LeBron James notched his second triple-double of the season. This led to him matching Jason Kidd’s 107 triple-doubles in his career for 4th in the all-time list.

LeBron James is having a low triple-double season by his standards, as his notching just 2 this season has been on the lower end of his recent career history. He had 6 last season and 5 in the season before. In 2019-20, James had a career-high 13 triple-doubles during the season.
LeBron James Adding To His Legacy In The Playoffs?
The Los Angeles Lakers could still be a rough stretch of games away from tumbling out of the playoffs this season. They’re looking really solid now, sitting above .500 and just half a game behind the Los Angeles Clippers in the 6th seed. While they may be ruing a lot of dropped games over the season, they need to lock in now to ensure they don’t have to go through the play-in tournament.
This Lakers comeback has been fantastic to watch but hasn’t been driven by LeBron, who’s been hampered with injuries for the second half of the season. Anthony Davis has found a new level of form to carry the team as their primary star, though James is clearly ramping up for the playoffs.
If he can channel playoff LeBron once again and help the Lakers take advantage of a weak West to make the Finals, people will definitely claim he’s taken another step toward catching Michael Jordan as the GOAT. The 2023 playoffs are going to be fun to watch.
