The Warriors’ future has come under scrutiny after a frantic season for the defending champions. Several considerations have been made regarding the future of Warriors basketball as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green approach the end of their respective professional careers.
Despite growing doubts, Steve Kerr confirmed this season is not the last run for this Warriors group.
LeBron James Reveals The Player He Wants To Play The Most With In The NBA
“This is not ‘The Last Dance,’” Kerr said, via The Athletic. “That was made clear in Chicago (back in 1997) that that was going to be it, Phil was done and everybody’s contracts were up. That was going to be it. That’s not the case here at all. I know that Joe (Lacob) would love to keep this thing going. He’s been incredible in his financial commitment to keep this team strong and relevant for a decade. He’s always committed to that. So I think there’s a really good possibility that we keep things going here.”
Steve Kerr discusses Andrew Wiggins’ absence from the Warriors:
“He’s fine; he’s healthy and he’s working out. But he has to have the space to do what he needs for his family, and we’re supporting that.”

The Warriors tried to pull off a two-timeline plan last season, and it worked to perfection before a series of departures over the summer cost them crucial experience and depth.
The results have been an ugly road record in a wildly flawed season, but the team clearly intends on riding with this core until there’s nothing left in the tank.
What Is The Status Of Andrew Wiggins?
With Curry, Klay, and Draymond, the Warriors will always be able to compete with the best in the West. But without Andrew Wiggins, the path to a title is going to be significantly harder.
Right now, all we know is that he’s out dealing with a personal matter, and there’s no word on when he could return.
“Same as it’s always been,” Curry said on Wiggs. “We’d love to have him and hope that that does happen. We want to be whole and I’m sure he wants to be a part of this. But when he walks through the door will be when it’s the right time for him. That’s kind of the expectation at this point, so nothing’s really changed.”
Only time will tell how it plays out for Wiggins and the Warriors, but it seems like they are a lock for the postseason if they can stay healthy for the home stretch.
Either way, the run is not over yet and they can still win it all as long as Steph is still at the top of his game.
