Many people think that UFOs are just a phenomenon that people in America observe, but Russian cosmonauts claim that this phenomenon is known to all cosmonauts in the world, but not everyone is ready to talk about it.
Viktor Afanasyev’s
Viktor Mikhailovich Afanasyev was a colonel in the Russian Air Force and a test cosmonaut of the Yu. A. Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center.
1970 to 1976 served in the Air Force fighting troops as a pilot, senior pilot, and aircraft flight commander. 1976 to 1977 attended the Test Pilot Training Center. 1977 to 1988 served as a test pilot and senior test pilot at the State Research/Test Institute named after Valery Chkalov. Viktor Afanasyev has a Class 1 military test pilot certification. He has logged over 2000 flight hours in more than 40 different aircraft.
Hev told about his encounter with the UFO shortly after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Only then was Afanasyev able to tell his story.
In April 1979, he ascended into space to dock with the Soviet space station Salyut-6. But something strange happened during the flight. He saw an unidentified object, which turned towards his ship and began to follow him through space.
“He followed us for half of our orbit. We observed him on the bright side, and when he crossed over to the shadow side, he completely disappeared. It was an engineering structure made of some kind of metal, about 40 meters long with inner hulls.
“The object was narrow in one place and wider in another, and had small windows. In some places there were protrusions that looked like small wings. The object was very close to us. We photographed it and our pictures showed that it was on distance from 23 to 28 meters “.
In addition, Afanasyev said that they photographed the object and constantly reported to the Mission Control Center about its size, shape and position. When the astronaut returned to Earth, he was interrogated and ordered to never tell anyone about it. His photographs were confiscated. These photographs and his voice transmissions from space have never been published.
Vladimir Kovalenok
On May 5, 1981, Soviet cosmonaut Vladimir Kovalenok saw something amazing from the window of the Salyut-6 spacecraft.
According to Kovalenok, at about 6 pm, when the ship flew over South Africa, moving towards the Indian Ocean, he saw an elliptical object that flew along with the ship. From a frontal point of view, it seemed to rotate in the direction of flight.
“The object resembled a barbell. I saw how it became transparent and as if with a “body “inside. At the other end I saw something like a gas discharge, like a reactive object. Then something happened that is very difficult for me to describe from the point of view of physics “, – said Kovalenok.
“I have to admit that it was not artificial. It was not artificial, because an artificial object cannot have such a shape. I do not know of anything that could make such movements … contract, then expand, pulsate.”
“Then, while I was watching, something happened, two explosions. One explosion, and after 0.5 seconds the second part exploded.”
“The object was moving in a suborbital trajectory, otherwise I would not have been able to see it. There were two clouds of smoke that formed a boom. It approached me and I watched it.”
Subsequently, after the incident, they entered the darkness (twilight zone) for a while. When they left this zone, the two orbs never returned.
Kovalenok described a soft conical shape with an inner tube that suddenly appeared in the form of two balls connected by this rod. Then these two balls moved away from each other with a line connecting them, after which the first ball, and then the second, faded.
“I don’t understand other astronauts who claim that they have not seen anything unusual in orbit,” he notes, adding that he himself personally observed many UFOs, of various shapes and sizes.
“I will never forget one strange object that we observed in 1981. It was small. When I saw him, I called my colleague Viktor Savinykh, who managed to capture him through the eyepiece of a video camera. But when Savinykh got ready to shoot, the object exploded, leaving only a cloud of smoke. We immediately contacted the Mission Control Center and reported our sightings. We do not know what happened that day, but most definitely this object was not a figment of my imagination, ”he said.
Later, MCC reported that something strange was really happening in space that day. “After returning to Earth, experts confirmed to us that they detected an unusually high emission of radiation just at the time of the UFO explosion,” he said.
Kovalenok urged his colleagues not to hide their own experiences of encounters with UFOs.
For courage and heroism shown during the performance of space flights, V. Kovalenok was awarded the title of twice Hero of the Soviet Union. Currently, V. Kovalenok is the President of the Russian Cosmonautics Federation.
