BTS member j-hope has confirmed that he has received the notice for his military enlistment, making him the second member of the group to serve after Jin, who began his service in December last year. During a recent live broadcast, j-hope shared that he already has a date for his enlistment and that he wants to show a better side of himself when he returns. He also revealed that Jin had contacted him after he received the notice and provided advice on what he needed. j-hope said that his goal during his time in the military is to stay in good condition and not get old
Despite the news of his enlistment, j-hope assured ARMY that this is not his last Weverse LIVE before he leaves. He also recently released a solo song called “On the street” featuring J. Cole, which he wrote with the fans in mind. Additionally, a documentary called “j-hope IN THE BOX” was recently released on Disney+ Hotstar, detailing j-hope’s journey in producing his first official solo album “Jack In The Box.
The South Korean government requires all able-bodied men aged between 18 and 28 to serve in the military for about 18 months. However, artists who have contributed to promoting Korean culture internationally are given the option to defer their service until the age of 30.
With Jin already enlisted and j-hope soon to follow, fans are now waiting for updates on when the other BTS members will serve. Nonetheless, fans continue to show their support for the group and are eagerly anticipating their future music releases.
