Arsenal saw off Fulham in a Premier League tie on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal kicked off at Craven Cottage sat two points clear atop of the Premier League due to Manchester City beating Crystal Palace the day prior.
However, as Fulham was Arsenal’s game in hand and Manchester City are playing in the FA Cup next weekend, the Gunners have the chance to go eight points clear heading into the international break.
And after Sunday’s result, Mikel Arteta’s side are halfway there.
Gabriel opened the scoring for the away side, heading in from a Leandro Trossard corner with 21 minutes on the clock.
Arsenal added their second of the match five minutes later, with Gabriel Martinelli this time the man getting on the end of a Trossard cross.
The Gunners continued to dominate for the remainder of the first 45 and added a third to kill the tie in injury time.
Trossard found Martin Odegaard in the box before the midfielder smashed an effort past Bernd Leno after having all the time in the world to control the ball and pick his spot.
