Do his teammates feel the same way?
Well, one thing is for sure, Nikola Vucevic has lost some faith. After the Chicago Bulls loss to the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, Vucevic’s comments to The Athletic showed little confidence that his squad can turn things around to make the postseason.
The Bulls are 3-7 in their last 10 games. They now sit at 29-36, which slots them in 12th place in the Eastern Conference. The team cannot seem to find a way to win consistently. Despite having sufficient offensive talent on paper and touting a top-10 defense, the Bulls just cannot seem to consistently win games.
Time is ticking for the Bulls. They have the fifth toughest schedule remaining. What does the locker room believe? Is Vucevic’s opinion shared by others? If it is, they may as well pack it up and let the young guys get some run.
At this point, the Bulls are closer to a top-four pick than they are to a playoff spot. If Nikola Vucevic’s sentiment is the tone of the team, why even try? Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley better put their camo on. It’s tank season.
