Westbrook may be a Chicago Bull sooner rather than later.
The Chicago Bulls are interested in signing veteran guard Russell Westbrook once he hits the buyout market. Westbrook was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Utah Jazz last week but has suited up for the Jazz and is likely to be bought out.
The Bulls’ fan base seems torn on whether or not Westbrook would be a good fit. Do you know who isn’t? Bulls head coach Billy Donovan. Chris Haynes of TNT reports that Donovan made a call to Westbrook’s camp, saying “Chicago should be the place for him.”

The Bulls are one of two teams that have not made a trade since Jan. 23. They stood pat at the NBA trade deadline and are now looking to bolster their roster on the buyout market. Chicago currently owns a 26-30 record, good for 11th place in the Eastern Conference.
There’s no telling if Russell Westbrook would help or not, but the Bulls want to compete. Perhaps they view Westbrook as a temporary solution to their point guard problem as Lonzo Ball remains sidelined with no return date in sight. Only time will tell, but it does seem that Westbrook will be a Bull sooner rather than later.
