Watch Boris the Charming Cow-kissing Golden and Feel Some Warmth in Your Heart

It’s no wonder golden retrievers are one of the friendliest dog breeds in the world. Boris the cow-kissing pup just happens to be the latest example.

Boris, who looks quite smart in his red winter hat, is quite invested in the wellbeing of the cattle next door. One of the cows there had an unexpected calf last month, according to a TikTok from the account Boris shares with his two golden siblings, Lily and Darcy.

He’s kept an eye on the new calf as the cold weather has arrived. He even brings out a matching hat when he goes to see his friends, which he does in the video.

Boris arrives at the fence and takes a seat on his cattle-watching chair. Now the video goes from swell to truly sweet. He leans over the fence to give the cattle a few licks, and they even return the favor.

“As soon as they see me, they come over to get my cuddles and my kisses,” the video’s voiceover says.

The young calf has yet to officially meet Boris, but we’re sure the gentle golden will get to meet his new pal soon.

This ridiculously heartwarming video—which has earned a whopping 8.9 million views since it was posted Oct. 28—also epitomizes why socialization is so important. When dogs like Boris meet new animals and experience new things as youngsters, they’re more likely to greet new animals and settings with calm confidence later in life.

We don’t all have cows next door, but if you want to make sure your dog will be able to safely meet new friends, a puppy kindergarten class is a good place to start.

Prepare to lean back into a pool of relaxation, brought to you by the paws of Gregg.

The British shorthair seems to really enjoy massaging his napping brother, Boris the golden retriever, in a video shared on TikTok last month. It’s 10 seconds of calm bliss, and Boris looks more tranquil than a calm pond on a still, dewy morning.

Gregg is kneading—aka making biscuits. It’s a typical cat behavior that involves them pushing down on a surface in a way that looks like they’re exercising a slab of dough. The kneading starts in kittenhood, and cats knead to get ready to lay down and sometimes just because it feels good.

Or, perhaps in this case, because it helps Gregg’s pal Boris get some good rest. So far, the video posted Oct. 7 has earned 4.3 million views.

If you’re hoping your dog and cat can become best friends, be sure to follow our tips on introducing them to each other. Make sure you keep an eye on them, and just know that they might not be as close as Boris and Gregg.

You really don’t hear enough about how sneaky toddlers are the real threats to our dogs’ healthy weights.

That’s at least the case for Kaia, the golden retriever who was featured in an Oct. 15 TikTok. It begins with Kaia, who shares the kodaandfriends account, laying on a bed. Her owner wonders why she’s starting to look a little “thicc.” Apparently, Kaia has put on a little weight.

Her dealer soon reveals himself. It’s Finn, her human toddler brother. In 14 seconds, the video shows the little diaper-clad guy delivering treats to his 2-year-old dog best friend. He totals five trips, as Belgian Malinois Koda becomes interested in the mobile treat dispenser as well.

Finn delivered all those snacks in just a couple of minutes, according to the video’s description. So far, the video has earned more than 2.7 million views.

While the video was likely made in jest, all pet parents should make sure they can determine their pups’ healthy weights. And if they’re sporting a little too much junk in their trunk, you’ll want to make sure your dog can lose weight safely. (As always, consult your veterinarian.)

Watch This Smart Pup Put Celery Exactly Where It Belongs (the Trash Can)If only every dog could clean up after themselves.

Just because celery is safe for dogs to eat doesn’t necessarily mean they want to eat it.

Bella the Belgian Malinois and mastiff mix proves it in a TikTok video. The video, posted on the pup’s account (bella_maligator) has gone viral with over 900,000 likes and 5.5 million views. It starts with Bella’s mom asking her if she likes celery before handing her a small piece of the vegetable. Bella immediately takes it and begins to chew. Promising!

However, after a few seconds of chewing—Bella comes to her senses. “No peanut butter?!?!” the caption reads. Once Bella is aware of this horrible crime, she makes her way to the automatic trash can, leans her head over to activate the sensor, and spits the celery straight into the garbage.

While Bella might not eat her veggies—at least she has the decency to clean up after herself. The intelligent dog seems to have been trained from a young age on how to use the modern trash can, with videos on her account showing her taking a variety of items straight to the garbage. From actual trash to blueberries—nothing is safe from being thrown out by the brainy canine.

Even after the not so pleasant celery experience, Bella isn’t completely opposed to the stalky vegetable. In a TikTok posted to her account two days after the great celery debacle, the pooch is once again fed a piece of celery, however with one major difference. Her wish from the first video is granted. The celery is now dipped in peanut butter, and the picky pup has no problem gobbling it down.

When in doubt—we can always count on peanut butter as the way to a dog’s heart.
