The Los Angeles Lakers had a challenging 2022–23 NBA season, with ups and downs throughout the campaign. They faced some trying circumstances that helped their players bond but also caused some fan skepticism.
Being one of the most honored teams in the league, the Lakers are always under scrutiny, especially in the last couple of seasons, where they’ve mightily struggled to get things going. With their lack of moves in the market, some fans have voiced their frustrations with the team.
LeBron James hasn’t been any different, and the King recently set the alarms at Crypto.com Arena with some remarks that made him look frustrated with the team. Fortunately, he clarified that by saying he was comfortable on the Lakers, especially as they went through a 5-game winning streak.
"Ever since we made the trade for AD to bring him here, our whole thing was about health… We haven't had the best luck of health I would say, especially this year now again."

Still, whenever James speaks, people pay attention, and recently, he was completely honest about the team’s chance to turn things around, reach the playoffs and finish the season on a high note. He knows consistency is key and the Lakers haven’t had that so far this campaign.
LeBron James Opens Up On The Lakers’ Struggles This Season
After the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night, the King addressed the team’s current situation and what can be done to change the way things are going for the Purple and Gold.
“Ever since we made the trade for AD to bring him here, our whole thing was about health. It’s not changed, and you guys said before the season started, ‘do we think Russ can work?’ And I said, ‘how can we know that if we’ve not been on the floor together?’ We haven’t had the best luck of health, I would say, especially this year now again.”
LeBron then explained that the Lakers have four players out with injuries right now, which obviously hurts their chances to compete at the best level. They went against two of the top teams in the West, losing against the Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks. If they didn’t have their roster fully healthy, it was widely expected that they would miss this game.
Many people are waiting to see if they can put the gang together again and go toe-to-toe with the rest of the conference to define where this team stands. Besides the Anthony Davis injury, they’ve been dealing with others, and that hasn’t made anything easier for LeBron, Darvin Ham, and the rest of the Lakers.
