During a training camp in South Africa, a python suffocated and eventually devoured a Vervet monkey in this incredible episode. The snake pulled its prey into the bushes, where it ate it regardless of size.
On a remote dirt road at the Bhejane Training Camp in Hluhluwe, Sᴏᴜᴛʜ Aғʀɪᴄᴀ, wildlife and conservation student Warwick Neil Guy filmed an amazing sight. The 23-year-old stated that he and his roommate Jason were enjoying a leisurely afternoon stroll around the property when they came upon the python and the monkey near the fence.
The action was roughly a meter away from them at its ᴄʟᴏsᴇst, but they got ᴄʟᴏsᴇr as it continued. They were standing in front of the fence’s snake. The monkey was still alive and trying to hold on to the python when they first saw it crushing and strangling it. The Vervet monkey was discovered choking to ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ on the gravel road. Despite being ʜᴜʀᴛ during the ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ, asphyxiation ᴋɪʟʟed the creature instead of poison or biting.
The giant python dragged it into the underbrush, where it would be devoured. As night fell, the snake opened its mouth to swallow the monkey whole, then started to eat it. Despite its size, the python swallowed the unfortunate Vervet monkey whole, breaking its jaw in the process. Only the Vervet monkey’s tail was left after the python had nearly finished its meal.
The python suffocates its prey to ᴅᴇᴀᴛʜ before consuming it since it is a constrictor snake. Warwick Neil Guy asserted that he had never before managed to get such stunning pictures and that it was doubtful he would ever again see a python and a monkey interacting in such a way. He considered himself quite fortunate to have seen such a remarkable incident.
