Liverpool players Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner are stopping the Reds from signing Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.
That is according to journalist David Lynch, writing for Liverpool’s Norwegian supporter’s club.
He claims that the 21-year-old isn’t even in the side’s top three midfield transfer targets.

As per Lynch, the Merseyside outfit will need to bring in a new homegrown player this summer, as they are set to lose Oxlade-Chamberlain and Milner at the end of the season.
As a result, it is said that Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham is the obvious target in this scenario.
Consequently, any non-homegrown player arriving at the same time as the 19-year-old would have to come cheaper than the fees mentioned for Caicedo, making this an unrealistic proposition.

This will come as a huge blow to the Reds fanbase, as Caicedo has emerged as a dream target to add to Klopp’s midfield.
At just 21-years-old, the Ecuador international is tearing it up with Brighton in the Premier League.
Playing a similar position to Fabinho, the midfielder would be an excellent replacement for the tired Brazilian.
The Mirror claim the Seagulls would be willing to sell the youngster for an initial £60m, which many commentators think would make perfect sense for Liverpool.

Having been hailed by Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp as ‘magnificent’, Caicedo really could be a phenomenal signing for the Reds.
He would sure make a huge improvement to Klopp’s starting XI. Therefore, it is a big shame that the club are coming up with these excuses, especially when homegrown players including the likes of Tyler Morton are set to return from their loans in the summer.
