This is the heartwarming moment a little girl was reunited with her lost cat after it had been missing for three years.
Endearing footage shows Claudia overwhelmed with emotion at the surprise at a rescue home.
‘Claudia do you like kitties?’ her mother asks as they wait – the little girl utterly in the dark as to what awaits her. She eagerly replies that she does, particularly black and yellow ones.
The little girl discuss the cat she used to have with her mother before suddenly a woman appears holding a dark brown and white cat. ‘Did it look like this?’ the mum says
The little girl claps her hands to her mouth with a sharp intake of breath as she realises the moggy in front of her is indeed her own darling pet which was lost many moons ago
Fortunately her quick-thinking mother explains this as a calico cat – known as tortoiseshell-and-white outside North America – and this brings back Claudia’s memory.
‘I had a calico cat once,’ she says wistfully.
And then, right on cue, a woman appears holding a a similar looking cat.
‘Did it look like this?’ the mum says.

Thrilled to bits, Claudia’s buries her face into the feline’s soft white fur. ‘I miss you so much!’ she cries, utterly overwhelmed
Adorably, in typical child fashion, the period of time the cat has been missing for escapes Claudia, with the girl believing it’s been a mere 8 months instead of three years
‘I love you Cursor,’ she cries, continuing to cuddle her old friend unable to tear herself away
