Chris Hemsworth enjoyed a quintessentially Aussie weekend as he stopped by his local Bunnings Warehouse in Byron Bay to pick up home maintenance supplies.
The Hollywood actor, 39, best known for playing Thor in the Marvel films, was seen visiting the hardware store with his eight-year-old son Tristan on Sunday.
He emerged from the outlet carrying a Mr Clean Microfibre Window Washer and Ozito Cordless Pole Pruner, worth $216 in total.
The supplies were likely for some cleaning and gardening chores around his family’s $30million mega-mansion in nearby Broken Head
Chris, who wore a camel-coloured shirt, black shorts and sunglasses, tightly held his son’s hand as they looked both ways while crossing the busy car park.
Both father and son went barefoot, with Tristan opting for a simple grey T-shirt and black sweatpants.
He popped the long-handled window cleaner and hedge trimmer into the back of his black Volkswagen truck as his son hopped into the passenger seat.
The sighting comes after Chris’ plans to build a second home on a massive 35-hectare site in Byron Bay were approved.
He and wife Elsa Pataky were given the green light in August to build a ‘celebrity guesthouse’ next to their own $30million mansion.
Chris bought the land for $4.25million in 2019 and proposed $4.4million worth of works, bringing the finished property to $8.6million, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Detailed plans show the home will have two dwellings with a total of seven bedrooms.
The primary mini-mansion will include five bedrooms while the second home will have two, each with its own ensuite bathroom.
The sprawling residence will have four levels, as well as a butler’s pantry and swimming pool.
A second building will sit next to a pond, which already has a cabana and firepit.
A garage will comfortably hold three Ferraris for the Hemsworths or their Hollywood mates, who are expected to bunker down at the new pad.
