The last time Tiger Woods ever played a PGA Tour event was in 2024 at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas. Since then, the 49-year-old has been missing in action as he recovers from yet another back surgery. After undergoing microdecompression surgery in September 2024, Woods said on his X account, “I look forward to tackling this rehab and preparing myself to get back to normal life activities, including golf.” After 5 months, Woods then underwent another injury, this time, it was his left Achilles tendon. He once again promised to make a full recovery. However, his career has been at a standstill since then as he underwent another

But his love life? Well, Big Cat made a huge announcement in late March that he had started a relationship with Vanessa Trump and asked for privacy from the fans. The two have been supporting each other through various Instagram stories. Once the relationship was made public, even the 47th POTUS, Donald Trump, wished them and urged the golf world to ‘let them both be happy’ in this new journey.

Days after this simple yet sweet message from Trump, Woods has once again visited the President at the White House. Senator Jim Banks posted a photo with Woods in X and said, “Met @TigerWoods at the White House today!’

As fans are missing Big Cat on the PGA Tour events, this small update surely lifts the hearts of many, knowing that Woods is recovering well and will soon make a comeback as he promised to do! Meanwhile, as this promise takes time, Woods has not stopped working on his other ventures. As the billionaire golfer, he is trying tooth and nail to make his brainchild with Rory McIlroy a bigger success in 2026.

Tiger Woods makes major business move while being sidelined

Why should Rory McIlroy have all the fun? The Northern Irishman has been going around promoting his latest investment in TPG Sports. As McIlroy shakes hands with the $200 billion firm, Tiger Woods has been working on TGL, it seems. A day before, Josh Carpenter reported on X that TGL is trying to capture another arena to replicate the SoFi Center of Palm Beach.

Woods & McIlroy’s simulator league will expand to a different state. On Tuesday, TGL filed for the “Motor City Golf Club” trademark for $3,500. This expansion leads to the speculation that Woods might be introducing a new team after Detroit City. Although there has been no confirmation from TGL, the report suggests that it may be TGL’s next arena.

But this is not it. While TGL expands physically, there have been rumors of adding LPGA stars to the tech-infused league as well. Nelly Korda and Rose Zhang have been urging TGL to include the girls since the league started. After a few days, the TGL team, Atlanta Drive owner, Arthur M. Blank admitted, “Potentially there will be gals involved, which would be great for the game.”

Not just him, LAGC owner Alexis Ohanian, also hinted that TGL is discussing LPGA pros’ inclusion and said, “ They have been very interested. It’s just that these things take time, and I’m not allowed to make any news.” With this subtle admission and now TGL’s progression for a new arena, it won’t be wrong to say that Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s risky plan of a simulator league has definitely worked wonders!
