Tiger Woods watched from the stands on Thursday as his daughter’s Benjamin High School girls soccer team advanced to the Florida Class 2A state championship game with a 2-1 win over Lake Christian.
Sam Woods, Tiger’s daughter, is a senior defender and helped her squad shut out Lake Christian in the second half and overtime.

Benjamin (10-5-3) will play the winner of Thursday’s other semifinal between Ransom Everglades (14-4-3) and Episcopal School of Jacksonville (13-5-3) for the state title on Saturday at 7 p.m.
According to the Palm Beach Post’s Eric J. Wallace, Woods has three goals and an assist this season, including a game-winning header against King’s Academy in the district championship match.
The Palm Beach County High School Sports Awards are part of the USA Today High School Sports Awards program.
The 2024-25 Palm Beach County High School Sports Awards program will announce its nominees for girls soccer player of the year later this winter. The winner will be announced during the live show on May 28 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. The show is produced with the support of Baptist Health Orthopedic Care.
