Tiger Woods has rarely appeared on the golf courses for the last few years, for well-known reasons. Injuries, which present a huge obstacle for the experienced golfer, continue to cause him problems.
A body that has been playing this sport for years, at its peak, breaking records, has obviously suffered enormous efforts. The 48-year-old is therefore an increasingly rare occurrence on golf courses, although he appears in several tournaments from year to year.
After the surgery in September of last year, golf fans hoped that his appearances on golf courses would become more frequent, but it seems that we have to wait for a while longer.
Tiger did not play at the last PGA Tournament, the Genesis Invitational. Although the experienced golfer was supposed to perform, the death of his mother was the reason why he decided to withdraw, to process her death, and then return to the big stage.
Tiger Woods was still present on the last day of the tournament, congratulating Ludvig Aberg on his victory, and noting that he was looking forward to his return soon.
Mark Immelman, a well-known sports commentator, shared his impressions during a guest appearance on one of the podcast, not sharing such positive information regarding Tiger.
Immelman pointed out that Tiger was limping, stressing that he did not want to create panic or drama, but it is clear that Woods is still not fully recovered. His comments don’t give us any optimism, but we have no doubt that the 48-year-old is doing everything in his power to get back on the golf courses.
Although Tiger often sends optimistic messages, striving to return to this sport, it seems that we will have to wait a while longer for him to be fully ready. Until then, we will have to enjoy the other faces of this sport.
