Tiger Woods’s TGL Shakes Off ‘Destroying’ PGA Tour Allegation as Withdrawals Mystery Resolves

And there goes another player, Mackenzie Hughes has just withdrawn from the Farmers Insurance Open, joining the likes of Collin Morikawa, Tyler McCumber, and Nicolai Hojgaard on the sidelines. The golf world is abuzz with concern as top players continue to pull out of tournaments at an alarming rate, leaving fans wondering what’s behind these sudden withdrawals. Scottie Scheffler and Xander Schauffele have also been noticeably absent, adding to the growing list of missing players. This trend is not only disappointing for fans but also raises questions about the overall health and well-being of these athletes.

As the withdrawals pile up, fingers are being pointed at the new TGL league, with some suggesting that its condensed schedule is causing fatigue among players. Fans are taking to social media to express their frustrations as they were saying, “TGL destroying the PGAT roster”. Well, as it turns out, TGL is not the one to blame for the withdrawals after all, there is something more.

The latest tweet by NUCLR Golf has revealed the mysterious reason behind the numerous withdrawals from the Farmers Insurance Open, and it’s not what fans were expecting. The tweet read, “JUST IN: The Genesis Invitational will reportedly be re-located to Torrey Pines Golf Course, per @RickRunGood.” Wait, what? That was the question on everyone’s mind. But then it clicked, this change of venue explains why so many players have been withdrawing from the tournament. It all makes sense now. If the Genesis Invitational is also going to be held at Torrey Pines, players who were planning to participate in both events didn’t want to play the same course twice in a short span.
