This stunning video shows two hyenas fighting viciously. After gaining the upper hand, one hyena attempts to drown the other.
Vicky Stephenson, a 29-year-old field guide and camp manager, captured the conflict on camera in December 2019.
She said that they hurriedly left to investigate the weird hyena calls as soon as they heard them. In the river, there were two hyenas ғɪɢʜᴛing each other. One was in charge, and the other was making an effort to hide.
Since none of them had ever witnessed such a vicious combat between hyenas, they were all astounded. The hyena being struck was already seriously injured, and it was distressing to see as it appeared worn out and in pain. However, they were compelled to watch since it was interesting, especially since they were field guides and had never seen anything like that before.
After about two hours of intermittent ғɪɢʜᴛing, they noticed the original dominant and two other hyenas moving toward the wounded animal. At that point, they realized the hyena would not survive the last ғɪɢʜᴛ, so they made the decision to leave it in peace. After they departed, the hyenas ᴋɪʟʟed the hyena, as they later found out from the office.
