Trouble is brewing again for Selena Gomez and her boyfriend The Weeknd! The couple has been dating for about eight months now and things seemed to be going smoothly — but sources exclusively reveal to Life & Style that Sel is still struggling from all the baggage from her previous relationships, and it doesn’t help that their busy schedules are stopping them from spending quality time together.

Sel has been working hard to promote her new song “Fetish” and starting the process of writing her upcoming album. Meanwhile, The Weeknd — real name Abel Tesfaye — is gearing up for another leg of his Starboy: Legend of the Fall tour, which will keep him pretty busy for the remainder of the year. “The distance isn’t good for Selena and Abel,” the source says. “She has trust issues and hates being apart from him.”

The Weeknd also missed Sel’s 25th birthday party last month because he performed at Lollapalooza Paris. He tried to make it up to her by flying out to LA to take her out on an hour-long belated birthday lunch day the next day, but it looked like they weren’t enjoying themselves because they both left looking somber.

Sel’s jealousy is also a major issue and it’s led to arguments between the couple. “Whenever Abel’s phone rings or he gets a text, Selena looks over his shoulder to see who it is. It drives him crazy,” adds the source. “They’re really on the rocks right now.”

Her trust and jealousy issues stem from the tumultuous relationship she had with her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. Sources previously revealed to _Life & Style _ that being with Justin brought out some really negative qualities. “She became a different person around him,” the source said. “She was extremely jealous and possessive and felt like she had to keep up with him to keep him. So she would drink and smoke, and then she got into weed and partying.”
