Missing out on the most prestigious title, pop singer Selena Gomez, 24, excelled in winning the “Best Female Pop/Rock Female Artist” award.This is her first public appearance since canceling her world tour in August to treat depression.Unexpectedly, black rapper Drake, 30 years old, was honored with 3 awards including “Best Rap / Hip-Hop Artist”, “Best Song” and “Best Album” with music product called “Views.

“Drake is the leading nominee this year when participating in 13 award categories.Meanwhile, Zayn Malik – former member of the boy band One Direction, beat Canadian singer Shawn Mendes to win the “Best New Artist” award. Malik left One Direction last year to launch a solo career.
