Shakira’s latest hit song has multiple references to her ex Pique – who she split from last June after 11 years together.
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon, Shakira said the song has been “a healthy way to channel my emotions” – and added she had to “put up with so much c**p”.
She took to the stage in a mesh bodysuit and leather trousers to give her first ever live performance of the song – which soared the charts and hit the top spot on the Billboard Global 200.
Adele tuned in to watch the show – and had a blistering message for Pique.
The Hello singer, speaking to fans during a show in Las Vegas, cackled as she said: “I saw her performance last night on Jimmy Fallon.
“Oh her ex-husband is in trouble.”
Shakira has penned a number of diss songs since her bitter split from football star Pique – roasting him and his new 23-year-old girlfriend Clara Chia.
The popstar takes a brazen swipe at her ex, who she was not married to, as she sings “I’m too big for you, that’s why you’re with someone just like you” in the track.
It comes after it emerged Shakira is “just weeks away” from moving to Miami with her two kids following the split.
Experts claim she will arrive in the US by April.
The revelation comes as the much-loved singer was expected to move to Miami in January.
But the plans were delayed due to her 91-year-old father’s poor health.
The music icon and her two sons have now set a new date of April 1, according to Shakira expert Laura Fa.
She told Catalan newspaper El Periodico: “We’re keeping a very close eye on when Shakira can go to Miami.
“What we’re being told is that she’s got a scheduled date to move there, which would be April 1.
“If everything pans out she wants to go on that date.”
It follows the announcement in January that Shakira could stay in Spain for another five months as her messy split with Pique, 36, drags on.
The former couple confirmed in November 2022, they had signed a child custody agreement after a protracted negotiation that lasted more than 12 hours.
As part of the agreement the retired Barcelona defender, now dating Catalan beauty Clara, will spend holiday time with his children.
In her first TV interview last month since her split with Pique, Shakira revealed she has come out of their painful break-up “strengthened” and now feels self-sufficient.
