This vacation property is located in Diamond City, Arkansas, approximately 30 to 40 minutes from Bronson, Missouri, on beautiful Bull Shoals Lake. It is a lovely escape from the city, nestled in the heart of the Ozarks, and guests will enjoy a beautiful, peaceful setting with lake views and easy lake access.
In north-central Arkansas amidst the natural beauty of the Ozark Mountains, Bull Shoals Lake surrounds the peninsula where Diamond City is located. These waters form one of the nation’s best fishing and boating combinations. Bull Shoals Lake is Arkansas’s largest lake with 45,440 acres of waters stretching along Arkansas’s northern border and into southern Missouri. Anglers are drawn to the lake’s catches of lunker bass where a 67.5-pound striper was caught this past spring, catfish, crappie, walleye, and bluegill. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy boating and swimming in these clear open waters.
During your vacation stay, you can hike along the shoreline, at the Donaho Walking Trail and the Devil’s Backbone Park is a must for the Nature lover. The Donaho Walking Trail is 3/4 of a mile and takes about 45 minutes to an hour to complete. The first part of this loop trail is a level walk. The trail then winds around up and down mildly rolling terrain to an area overlooking the Bull Shoals Lake and the Ozark hill country. The trail then leads you through cedar glades and mature deciduous woodlands. These areas provide excellent habitat for colorful Ozark wildflowers, the many beautiful species of birdlife including Buntings, Eagles, Kittiwakes, Goshawk, Kestrel, Woodpeckers, Woodpeckers or Yellowthroat, Cardinals, and bluebirds. Another hike to try during your vacation stay is the Devil’s Backbone. This hike is through a 6 acres area and takes about 2 hours to complete.
During your vacation stay, you can also fish at Bull Shoals Lake, which offers a variety of bottom and shoreline structures which makes it an excellent place to fish. The Missouri side of Bull Shoals Lake is deep and clear with bluff, rock, and gravel shorelines.
