BLACKPINK‘s Jennie made her Met Gala debut on Monday, May 1, 2023, and netizens still aren’t over her iconic vintage look from Chanel‘s archive, thoughtfully recreated for her by the Chanel team.

Jennie wore the stunning recreation of a Karl Lagerfeld design from Chanel’s 1990 Fall/Winter collection to the famed fashion event in New York, posing for photos like a natural as she made her way up the Met Gala stairs.

At the event, she met with familiar faces and took pictures with fellow global stars. Although the Met Gala famously has a “selfie ban” in place, it seemed celebs couldn’t resist getting a photo with the BLACKPINK star, and professional photographers also helped provide a glimpse of Jennie in her element, mingling with fellow global icons.

Almost as famous as the Met Gala are the numerous star-studded after-parties that follow the prestigious fashion event.

Most celebrities change from their often glamorous and extravagant gala looks into something more comfortable yet equally as striking for the after-parties. Many wondered if Jennie would also be attending an after-party and, more importantly, what fashion-forward outfit she would wear if she did.

Luckily, BLINKs gathered outside of the luxurious Carlyle Hotel, where many celebs stay to prepare for the Met Gala, captured Jennie on the way to an after-party, providing netizens a look at her effortlessly sexy outfit.

Jennie switched from her timeless vintage dress to another retro look with a modern twist as she emerged from the hotel in a black slip dress with what appeared to be gold-detailing down the back, wearing a chain choker and long pearl necklaces, pairing the 1920’s-esque look with over-the-knee boots.

American R&B legend Usher provided an even closer look at Jennie’s glamorous and carefree after-party style in a behind-the-scenes video with the BLACKPINK member.
