Forward Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the league, and there’s no doubt that he has been solid in the playoffs thus far. His Phoenix Suns are facing the Denver Nuggets as of right now and have recently lost Game 1.
After the game, Kevin Durant took responsibility for his own poor performance, even though he finished with 29 points and 14 rebounds. He pointed out that he had almost half of the team’s turnovers, finishing with 7 on the night.
“I damn near got half our turnovers,” said Durant.

It is always good to see a star player take accountability for a bad night. Hopefully, we see Kevin Durant do better in Game 2, and if the Phoenix Suns win one in Denver, they’ll be in a better position to win the entire series.
In the playoffs, Kevin Durant has averaged 28.5 PPG, 8.7 RPG, and 5.3 APG for the Phoenix Suns. The team will need him to be even better to beat the No. 1 seeded Nuggets, and we’ll see what ends up happening in the future.
Kevin Durant Is Not Surprised By The Denver Nuggets Being This Good
There is no doubt that the Denver Nuggets have a lot of doubters despite being the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Their blowout win against the Suns showed just how good they can be at their peak, and Kevin Durant revealed that he’s not surprised at how good the team is.
“The Nuggets? Surprised?” Durant asked. “Am I surprised by the Nuggets? Hell no! They’re the No. 1 seed for a reason. They got (a) two-time MVP, they got a deep team. No, I’m not surprised. They can go off and win games. We got our work cut off for us, we’re looking forward to Game 2 though.”
It is clear that the Denver Nuggets are not to be taken lightly, and they may very well win the series against the Phoenix Suns despite the Suns having Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.
Hopefully, we see the Phoenix Suns bounce back and get a win on the road. They definitely have the talent to do so, and we’ll see what end up happening in the future. This is going to be a close series between two evenly matched teams, and it is likely that we’ll see more intense games down the line.
