There’s a small grove of reglar pie trees in West Pomeraia, Polad, that has become famous because of one little “twist”—all 400 of the trees located there have a straight bed at the base!
The stand of trees was planted in 1930, when the Germay The trees all take a sharp 90-degree turn after leavig the grod before sweepig back to a pright positio with a graceful crve. Their strage but beatiful atre is captured perfectly in the below photos by Kilia Schöberger, whom we’ve written about before here.
No one knows how or why the trees were planted, but most believe that it was an itetioal, mechanical process. Trees can be modified to create atrally bet parts for, beaots, frire, or other applications. Others have theorized that a severe snowfall could have caused the crios pheomeo.
