After spending £82,000 on IVF and experiencing three heartbreaking pregnancies, the couple was overjoyed to have twins. After the clinic decided not to investigate, we decided to visit the family doctor. The doctor asked if we thought there was a possibility of twins, but after everything we’ve been through, we’re not certain. I never expected to be so privileged.
The couple’s first ultrasound was five days before Christmas of last year, and they were terrified of receiving additional negative news. Amy couldn’t believe it when the nurse told her she could see a second infant, she said.
“It was unexpected given that the circumstances were against us. Our family was ecstatic upon hearing the news. After five years of hearing bad news, I believe they are relieved, and if it’s positive news, it comes as a surprise. It was discovered to be terrible news.
