Selena Gomez has reportedly left rehab.
The Come & Get It hitmaker was hospitalized after suffering an alleged emotional breakdown last month, but according to E! News she is now out of the treatment centre.
“Selena is out of her treatment program in NYC and is doing much better,” a source tells the website. “(She is) refreshed and is in a better head space. (She) will still be checking in with professionals as her health battle is ongoing.”
“(For now she) wants to lay low for a while and isn’t ready to go full force into working yet,” the source adds.
At the time of her rumored hospitalization, a source told U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight, “Selena has dealt with depression for a while and her and the people around her have always kept an eye on how she feels, even more so since her kidney transplant.
“Selena wasn’t feeling well and went to the hospital, as she does whenever she feels off. After further monitoring, it was decided that Selena would seek treatment at a (mental health) facility.”
The singer reportedly received dialectical behavior therapy at the East Coast psychiatric facility where she stayed.
Earlier this year, Selena checked herself into a wellness retreat in New York after suffering from depression and anxiety. She underwent a kidney transplant last year in an effort to combat lupus and recently revealed the procedure made her take stock of her life and decide to move out of Los Angeles in a bid to remove stress from her life.
