Drogba lived in the property with his Malian wife Lalla Diakite, who he separated from in 2020.

‘We remain very close and our main focus has been our children and protecting them and the family’s privacy,’ the former striker said in a short statement at the time.

The couple have three children, including 21-year-old Isaac who spent time in Chelsea’s academy and played for the reserve team of French second tier side Guingamp.

Drogba, who is the Ivory Coast’s all-time top scorer with 65 goals in 105 caps, first arrived in England when Chelsea signed him for £24million from Marseille in 2004.

He helped the Blues win back-to-back Premier League titles in his first two seasons and stayed until 2012 – his final act was to score the winning penalty in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

Following time in China and Turkey, Drogba returned to Chelsea for one more season in 2014 and helped them win the league title again. His playing career finished with a spell in the USA.
