Michael Jordan is still the greatest of all time for most NBA fans and players. And a player that’s not in the NBA yet but will hope to come close to the conversation himself one day, Victor Wembanyama, has now given his take.

So it would seem that while he had a soft spot for LeBron James, Wembanyama considers Michael Jordan to be the GOAT. The ultimate argument always comes down to that, considering that Jordan never lost in the NBA Finals and has won more championships and more MVPs than LeBron James.
This is a never-ending debate, everyone always has a lot to say on this matter. But considering that Wembanyama is like something the NBA has never seen before, he will surely believe he can make an impact on the conversation himself as well. The road is long, but the projected No. 1 draft pick has the world at his feet when he comes into the league next season.
Rich Paul Pointed Out The Problem With The ‘More Winning’ Argument Favoring Michael Jordan
Every aspect of this issue has been discussed endlessly by fans, players, and the media. So the argument about Jordan being more of a winner is not new. And Rich Paul explained the issue with that logic.
“I think Michael [Jordan] transcended the sport [basketball]. And I think LeBron [James] brought a consistency to the sport that maintained his relevancy. You see all these guys on TV every day, ‘Oh, it’s Michael and it’s about the rings.’ If it’s about the rings, then it should be Bill Russell because he got 11 [championships].”
There can be no right answer to this question, but it’s fair to call Michael Jordan and LeBron James the GOATs of their eras. Victor Wembanyama’s answer is certainly both interesting and a bit explosive considering that he will have to face LeBron James next season.
