Marco Reus has made a decision on his Borussia Dortmund future amid free transfer talks with Manchester United.
Marco Reus is reportedly set to sign a new contract at Borussia Dortmund, ending speculation of a free transfer to Manchester United this summer. The 33-year-old midfielder’s new deal may mean he will realise his previously-admitted desire and retire at the Westfalenstadion.
United have been linked with Reus as Erik ten Hag is claimed to be eyeing competition for Bruno Fernandes in attacking midfield.
According to 90min, the Germany international’s agent was in talks with United, among other clubs, about a potential summer switch.
However, he has seemingly stopped weighing up his options and is ready to commit his nearby future to the Black and Yellows.
BILD report that contract discussions have entered their final stages after a stretched-out process.

The report states that he will accept almost a 50 per cent cut on his wage on a new deal, earning £6.2m in what could be his final year at the club.
Reus has become a Dortmund legend since joining from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2012, registering 161 goals and 120 assists in 380 games.
He is the club’s second leading goalscorer of all time after Alfred Preißler and has contributed 15 involvements in 24 outings this term.
As well as United, Al-Nassr and RB Leipzig were also credited with an interest in snapping up Reus as a free agent in July.
However, Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl was always confident of Reus staying put beyond the summer.

“We are in trusting talks with the player and the agent, “Kehl told Sky Germany in January.
“There is nothing more to say about it at the moment. We don’t let ourselves be carried away, either. We know each other very, very well and have a good relationship of trust.
“We don’t need all of these media topics that we had around Moukoko for every personal detail.”
