It comes as the Rare Beauty founder recently seemed to hint at new music in a short video posted to her TikTok account on Wednesday.
Her most recent major release was last year’s Spanish-language EP Revelación
She made a brief appearance in a recording studio, though her tantalising clip didn’t feature any music, and barely any sound at all.
Coming soon: Selena teased upcoming music with a video of herself standing by a recording studio microphone that she posted to TikTok on Wednesday
Selena looked effortlessly cool with a black leather jacket and a matching blouse underneath it.
She showed off her prominent pout and her thin gold hoop earrings as she gazed into the camera while tilting her head.
The Spring Breakers star had her raven tresses tied back, with strands dangling to frame her face, and she kept a set of studio headphones on at the microphone.
She was bathed in stylish pink and purple light, but she didn’t utter a syllable in the video, and the only audible sound was the rustling of her clothes as she shifted around.

‘New,’ Selena captioned her post, suggesting that she had music on the way.
She signaled she was back to working on music late last month at the Only Murders In The Building season two premiere.
‘I am actually working on [music] right now,’ Selena recently told ET on the red carpet. ‘It’s just been a little hectic with this, but um I am in the studio. I’m excited.’
Her most recent release was February’s single Let Somebody Go, a collaborative track with Coldplay that was released on the band’s album Music Of The Spheres.
However, Selena isn’t credited as a songwriter on the tune, unlike most of her own music.

Prior to that, she put out her mostly Spanish-language EP Revelación in March of last year.
At the time, she raved to Rolling Stone about the experience of singing in what had been her primary language until age seven.
‘Exploring this side of me has been nothing short of amazing,’ she gushed. ‘It really allowed me to take my voice to a different place. I just felt very confident when I would sing. I hope people hear that hard work and enjoy it.’
The artist’s last full-length album was her 2020 hit Rare, which made its debut at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Selena seems to be ready to get back to music after wrapping on season two of her acclaimed Hulu mystery–comedy Only Murders In The Building.
She costars with Steve Martin and Martin Short as neighbors in an apartment building in New York City share a fascination with a true crime podcast.
But once one of the residents of their building mysteriously dies, the three jump into action to investigate the death while starting their own podcast.
Only Murders In The Building’s second season premiered on Hulu on June 28 and follows a weekly release model.
Changing it up: Her last major release was the mostly Spanish-language EP Revelación from March 2021
