Without delay, Conor McGregor withdrew his invitation for a rematch with Jose Aldo.
The former dual-weight UFC champion famously needed just 13 seconds to knock out Aldo, his once-great rival, when they fought in a featherweight unification fight in 2015.

Eight years later, they appeared to be on friendly terms. McGregor is currently gearing up for his UFC comeback and ‘Scarface’ is pursuing a boxing career after retiring from MMA last year.
On Saturday night, Aldo fought to a majority draw with Jeremy Stephens on the undercard of Anthony Pettis’ upset win over boxing legend Roy Jones Jr.
Post-fight, McGregor tweeted that ‘me and Aldo should box’ in the future.
However, the Irishman’s seemingly friendly offer of a lucrative second fight did not sit well with Aldo who blasted him during his post-fight conversation with assembled media.
He said: “Conor has a big mouth. He always talks a lot of s***.
“He has a scheduled fight. Conor, shut your f***ing mouth. We were supposed to fight before in the UFC. You run, and now you still talk s***.”

‘Scarface’ was not happy with McGregor suggesting they rematch in boxing
McGregor took to social media the following morning to rescind his fight offer after finding out what the UFC featherweight legend said about him.
The 34-year-old instead suggested he should fight Stephens, who he once destroyed during a UFC press conference confrontation by asking ‘Who the f*** is that guy?’
McGregor wrote: “Well ok then ahaha whatever lad I was only trying to be nice. Who p***ed in your açaí ? Me and who the f*** is that guy should box.”
‘Notorious’ is set to face Michael Chandler later this year, but their fight does not yet have a date, weight, or venue and could be delayed by an ongoing issue with US Anti-Doping.
McGregor believes he should pass just two drug tests before competing again but the UFC’s drug testing agency wants him to submit random samples for six months before facing Chandler.
Meanwhile, Aldo has been heavily linked to an exhibition bout with Floyd Mayweather but it’s currently unclear if drawing against Stephens will stop him from facing ‘The Best Ever’ next.
