The winger, 23, bought the pet from ChaperoneK9 who provide expert training to puppies
The Manchester City winger opted for a black and brown rottweiler called Okan to be both his pet and protector.
On at Halloween, Sterling, 23, posted an image of Okan with the caption: “How are you spending Halloween? Big Okan is trick or treating for Halloween.”
He also tagged ChaperoneK9 in the post – the company which specialises in expert training for personal and family protection and from whom Sterling bought Okan, according to the Mirror.
They train dogs for a minimum of six months and supply trained canines across the world, including to the USA, Saudi Arabia and throughout Europe.
Their website says: “We have truly bridged the gap between security dogs and family pets.
“We have a broad range of clients with varying needs and we pride ourselves on being able to offer each a truly bespoke service which is supported by all of our client testimonials.
“We provide dogs to couples, families, people with disabilities, the elderly and those looking for additional security of larger estates.
“Our client base also includes premiership footballers, international rugby players, pop stars and people working in high risk environments.”
3Sterling signed a new five-year contract at the Etihad this week keeping him at the club until 2023
Paul Pogba, Mark Noble, Phil Jones and Michael Keane have all called upon ChaperoneK9’s services for their pets.
In an Instagram post back in August, ChaperoneK9 uploaded an photo of a young-looking Okan and said: “Young Beast.”
Sterling, who signed a new five-year deal at Manchester City this week, replied: “In love.”
But it is Manchester United’s defenders who will need to be on guard this afternoon as Sterling and his City team-mates welcome Jose Mourinho’s side to the Etihad in an eagerly-anticipated Manchester derby.
